Bad Gögging and Bad Abbach are two of the oldest established German spas in the Hallertau region. Not only do the sulphur springs, the marsh and the warm mineral thermal water possess the medicinal facilities of a recognised spa, but the day visitor also has access to a wide range of wellness facilities offering total immersion for the whole body in a comforting bath of sensuous pleasure.

| | Quality enjoys a long tradition here – Emperor Charles V and the legionnaires of the Roman Empire famously vouched for the benefits of the Danube spas. From the 2nd century AD Bad Gögging held the official state title of medicinal spa. It was used by Roman citizens who were stationed in Castra Regina, or Regensburg as it is known today. Their ability to judge quality was probably just as good as that of Charles V, a “ruler in whose empire the sun never set“. His stay in Bad Abbach in 1532 is documented. | |
